In the summer of 2022, I spent a month living with the Bedouin tribe of Awlad 'Ali
along the north coast of Egypt looking into an increasing shift towards modernisation
and independence among its young men. The days spent there resulted in the award
winning ethnography, 'Between Sand and Sea.' During the last week of my stay
I decided to stop writing and start making photographs, ones which ended
up becoming this photo series.
